Nova too good for Lasallians

first_imgNova has proven too good in the Capital Rugby Union competition,  adding another win to the score board.The powerhouse team defeated Lasallians 34-19 in the A Grade division in round four of the competition.Nova was on fire in the first half, scoring four tries and converting only one while Lasallians struggled to score as they trailed terribly at half time 21-0.Lasallians fired back in the second half,  scoring three tries and converting two of them.However these couldn’t save them from defeat after Nova’s forward pack were on target,  scoring two more tries 10 minutes to full time 34-19.In other matches, Spartens thrashed Juggernauts 26-0 while in the B Grade division Wanderers thrashed Brothers 22-0, University whipped Valley Hunters 20-0, Juggernauts defeated Spartens 22-7 and Crusaders pounded  Chiefs 29-0.In the U19 division Spartens beat Juggernauts 19-5 and Brothers scraped home against Wanderers 7-5, while in the women’s division Wanderers beat Vikings 12-7 and Spartens thra shed University 32-0.In the Premier division University defeated Spartans 38-26 and Wanderers whipped North Harbour Vikings 29-0.last_img
